I was so excited when the Houston Area Craft Brewery Map was finally printed. I had spent five years revising the design, adding new breweries and removing breweries that had closed. I spent the last year before printing trying to get every brewery’s logo on the poster, which required their permission for me to sell them. We did a good job and are very proud of that map and hope people are proud to hang it in their home, their bar, their man cave, or their she shed.
When I used to travel a lot for work, I would always try to stop in a local brewery, so I have been to several throughout Texas and Louisiana. It was always my intention to create more maps than just Houston. I had time over the Christmas break to work on them and was able to design four more maps! This process did not take as long as Houston, because they do not include the logos. I wish I could add them, but it’s just not realistic right now with how long it takes to reach out and get a response for permission.
The new maps for Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio and Louisiana are available in pre-sale now in our Shopify store! We are doing pre-sale to offset some of the printing cost on the front end, because we ordered a lot of the first Houston map and with brewery openings and closings, they become outdated quickly. We’re hoping to do smaller runs and keep the maps as updated as possible.
We know you probably want to stay up-to-date with your map, so we offer 50% off for our return customers on a revised map. The maps are always updated, but we have to sell out of one print run before we get to the next one. We are looking at adding interactive PDF maps to our website to keep everyone updated in the meantime.
